A growing share of searches now end without anyone visiting a website. The answer is assembled on the results page, or inside an AI assistant, from sources the searcher never clicks. For restaurants and venues, that changes what visibility means: the goal is no longer to win the click, it is to be inside the answer.
People used to search for a name. Increasingly they describe a situation: somewhere for eight people near Central, outdoors, under a certain budget, this Thursday. That is not a keyword — it is a brief. Whatever is answering it needs structured, corroborated information about your venue in order to include you.
Which means the material that gets you into these answers is not your homepage copy. It is the structured facts about you that exist in multiple credible places: capacity, cuisine, price band, neighbourhood, hours, what you are known for.
Your own website says you are excellent. So does everyone else's. What gives a fact weight is repetition across independent sources — a listing, an editorial feature, a round-up, a review. The venues that surface consistently in assembled answers tend to be the ones described in similar terms in several places, not the ones with the most polished single page.
A campaign spike does not move this. Presence over time does. An article from eighteen months ago is still being read by the systems assembling today's answers, which makes durable content a compounding asset in a way that a two-week placement is not.
The uncomfortable version of this is that you cannot buy your way into an assembled answer in a week. The reassuring version is that the work compounds, and most of your competitors are not doing it.

The generation that grew up on recommendation feeds does not trust advertising, but it does trust a specific kind of detail.

Most venues market in bursts. They spend heavily during peak seasons — Christmas, New Year, summer holidays, event season. In between, they go quiet.
